The dynamic duo known as Janet and Anne Grahame Johnstone, two twin sisters that worked on the illustrations together. Janet Johnstone (1 June 1928 – 20 January 1979) and Anne Grahame Johnstone (1 June 1928 – 25 May 1998). I absolutely adore their big headed children and the way they illustrated hair. I most especially love the way they portrayed Jesus Christ!
One of the other favorites of mine is Gordon Laite (1925 – 1978). I also especially love the way he illustrated Jesus Christ. All three of these illustrators had such a light whimsical touch to their artistry while at the same time providing an incredible amount of fantastical detail.
